“got milk?®” This phrase --- developed by the California Milk Processor Board
--- has become one of the most recognized slogans in advertising history.
And it is known to us that milk is abundant in protein and calcium, so can
patients with this disease drink milk?
Healthy kidneys can regulate the levels of different minerals in body such as
calcium, phosphorus, potassium etc. In different stages of PKD, the kidneys’
ability in maintaining the balance varies. Therefore, the dietary regime should
also vary from stage to stage based on the individualized illness condition.
We can conclude that diet play a significant role in shrinking cysts, and

Avoided foods
Spicy foods and stimulating foods such as chili, chocolate, coffee and shrimp
as well as other similar foods.
Quit drinking and smoking
Study have shown that alcohol can not only elevate blood pressure but also
stimulate the growth of renal cysts, so patients with this disorder are
suggested to quit drinking and smoking.
Supply of vitamins
Vitamin is very important for our health. Usually, vegetables and fruits are
rich in vitamin. Fruits like cranberry and kiwi fruit are all beneficial for our
kidneys.
There is no a standard dietary regime for all patients with PKD. Before you
